I am a dealer, and by my calculations they are trying to make about $1000 to $1500 over invoice and get yours for around $23,800-$24,300 hard money. Which in this economy with the glut of late model used diesel's on the market is not exactly a bad deal. I appraised an 04' 2500, 4x4, quad cab, SLT, auto with 45k on it yesterday for $22,700, but it had a few minor blemishes. NADA yellowbook is nothing more than a bankers book, and bankers know absolutely nothing about appraising a vehicle. It is artificically high so that their loans look better when the bank examiners come in to check out what the loan officers have been doing. I had a customer total out his 03' 3500 single wheel that I sold him new for $30,900 and his insurance company gave him $30,500 for it with 50,000 hard miles on it because that is what the nada yellow book said it was worth. He is still laughing all the way to the bank over that one! I just checked the black book on your truck and it value's it at $25,175 as average wholesale value, but the cost of detail and servicing and any other expense involved in resale still must be deducte. Truthfully it seems like a used Laramie never brings much more than a used SLT. Reason being is the guy who wants all that fancy stuff in the first place buys a new truck, not a 60,000 mile truck. The guy buying a 60,000 miles truck is looking for a bargain.

For what it's worth, Barco rent a truck has 45-2005 2500 quad cab 4x4 SLT diesels with less than 30k miles that they are trying to get $27-28k a piece for depending on exact milage. Those are only available to dealers at that price, through Manhiem Auction Company, however. They look pretty good from what I saw.
