Tires alt to Toyo?
#16
My experiences with Toyo's aren't bad except I think their kinda noisy and over priced. I switched to Coopers and never regretted it. Discoverer ST's, ATR's and STT's have served me very well on and off road. The ST's I had first did phenomenal in the snow and towed great. I ran ATR's for a year and half and they too performed better than I expected for a hwy tire. I hear good things about Nittos as well but haven't personally ran any...

I had the Toyo At's, and they wore like crap. I got 40k out of them, but they were nearly bald. I replaced them with the Toyo MT's, and these are a much better tire. I've got 30k on them now, and they still look new. They are also "E" rated where the AT's were only "D" rated. If I recall correctly, you cannot get the AT's in an "E" rating.

My 285-75-17 Dura Grapplers cost about $875 (onlinetires.com) delivered to Colorado. They say Made IN USA on the side and I think the plant is in Georgia. This is my second set and I have been very happy with them. About 55K out of the first set, only rotated a couple of times and never rebalanced. Fairly good in the snow an ice, great highway and towing tire.
