Which Tires?
Maybe you all can help me decide, I just bought a set of the factory Aluminum wheels for my ride on Ebay auction and I want bigger tires, so should I go with the Nitto Terra Grappler AT size LT295 70 17,
or the BFG AT size LT285 70 17
The Nitto's are cheaper, and bigger but may not last as long.
Thanks

I know a guy who ran the 315's and he didn't like the way the 315's were with stock wheels, to tall he said, they seemed unstable under load.
Since i am sticking with stock wheels I didn't want to go to tall, I do ocassinaly tow a 10K trailer.

Ask around about The bridgestone dueler revo I ran these on my chevy and loved them supposedly they have 285 and315 coming out for 17s these are what I would have got if my h2s were not so cheap I have heard mixed reviews on the nitto 295s how tall are they because 33 12.5 17s are the same as 305 70 17 which look too low profile for my taste really short and wide I like to see some rubber between the fender and chrome. AS far as power when I stepped upt to 315s from stock it did me a lot of good as now I can actually move through each gear in my tranny where b4 I was startin out in 3rd. aslon keeep in mind with the backspacing of the stock wheel the 315 will rub lift or no lift.

I am running the 285/70/17 BFG A/T's and they are a pretty sweet tire. Real good traction (both dry and wet conditions), look good on the truck but one word of caution........the BFG's love to pick up stones and throw them back against the rocker panels
I have around 8,000 miles on mine and they still look like new, plus they tow real nice.

I'm running the Cooper Discoverer ATS all terrain tire 315/70x17. Tires are great. More quiet than my wifes Acura MDX, and don't throw rocks.

Hey Knuckle Head, I have the Nittos and also had them on my last truck. Ride is much better than stock and as far as looks go they are great. I do have a leveling lift so no problems rubbing. I do feel that they are a softer compound so the wear could be a little faster but they just run so good. Here is a pic. Hope this helps!

I am another vote for the BFG 285's. I think they are a GREAT all around tire with great traction and long wear. These look almost brand new with about 13,000 miles on them.

Thanks for all the input and the pics, this weekend my neighbor who has a Power Wagon (yea I'm envious) but don't want his fuel bill.... he averages 9-10 he says, any-how we are going to pull off one of his wheels and put it on my truck to see how it looks... ok so that's the plan for now...
Still not sure which tires, but i am now leaning toward the BFG's
