Tire Size vs Mileage?
I m planning on getting some new tires. I would like to get a little bit bigger and wider but nothing too much. Just something that will look great oh yeah I don't want anything that is going to drop fuel mileage too much. thanks in advance.

If you have an auto and 3.73 gears expect it to drop a lot around town. On the hwy for me it isn't much of a concern because it didn't change much.
With about 70%hwy driving I lost less than 1mpg. Around town driving is what eats it.

i gained in mileage,when i went to the 315's, i have auto and 4:10's
seemed to drop the rpms down about 300-400, which is just perfect for where i seem to cruise on the high way.it keeps me just under the magic 2000 rpm, and where i get the best mileage.

With the auto 4.10s are a great asset to have if you're going with larger tires... If it wasn't for the non-availability of ordering when I picked up my 5.9 for a great price I would have got 4.10s no questions asked. It actually was almost a deal breaker for me.
I've found the 3.73 is OK, I use 17 inch wheels to reduce the inertia.

I threw a set of 35's on mine and I hate them. I am going to go and get some different tires tomorrow. Yeah driving around town is so bad I cant stand it. If it was me I would just get some all-terrians and be happy.
