Wow! Some people have all the luck. His appear to be the pre 06 design. I fought and fought the leaky cabmarker light issue. I replaced more of the OEMs than I care to mention to no avail. I then gave up on the OEMs and tried the Recons. Three sets later and they all leak. I then tried a set of the new 06 style with the separate rubber base gasket. That was approximately three months ago and so far so good.

I also have the same AC issues with mine. Poor overall performance and much warmer on the passenger side. Been to the shop, had the dash ripped out, many scratches incurred and still have the same problem. At least no more water drips from the overhead console.

My truck has 5% on all of the windows and a 5% tint strip on the front with the whole winshield tinted 50%. It was like this when I bought the truck. It has it's pros and cons as does anything but I wouldn't necessarily do it like this if I had the choice. I like the looks of it better than a lighter tint but that's about it. The front is great and you really can't tell that it's tinted unless you look very closely. I really like the tint strip on the top and all my trucks have had them. The side and back are too dark. I can't see a thing out of them at night and it really makes backing a trailer a pain at night. I end up rolling down my windows and turning on the cargo light. I prefer 20% for a happy medium...

As for the legality, I'm nowhere close but GA keeps changing the tint laws and at one point their wasn't one. I've been hassled once but no ticket so far...

Speaking from one of the hottest places in the country, tint is a REQUIREMENT! Car dealerships out here actually sell cars with frt, rear and back glass tinted. Tomorrow, Friday July 21 it's supposed to be 115-118 degrees here in PHOENIX! That means Bullhead City and Lake Havasu should be around 122-125. I have run mostly with 10% on the rear and 15-20% on the front. It does help keep the cool when it's over 105. They say the humidity is worse, and that AZ has a *DRY* heat! My response to them? Well, my over has a dry heat too and I don't like standing in that all day!

Good luck and hope you get what you seek in the cooling arena!

When you got the strip at the top of the windshield, does the "black stuff" the Dodge puts in the middle of the windshield show "polka dots" after the tint was done?

I want to know if it's possible to eliminate this effect?
