Time for tires...
My OEM tires finally need replacing. Question: The tires that came on my truck are LT235/80/R17. Will I be okay with LT245/80/R17's? Will this slightly larger tire affect my speedometer reading or anything else?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Being slightly taller and wider,it'll likely cause the speedo to be off a bit. It might not be off in a bad way though. When I went to taller tires on my '07,the speedo was actually more accurate (by GPS) than stock.

Less than 2% difference, at 60 that is only 1.2 miles off on the speedo. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp. I'd agree with Sunday, probably closer to actual compared to what I see on my GPS and stock sized tires.

I too need a set of 6 for my 03 Dodge duelly, and I haul a 4500lb truck camper around and tow a boat. I am trying to decide between a Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (196ea), Michelin LTX M/S (239ea), or Firestone Transforce HT (164/ea) mounted and balanced all...on the 235/80R17/E. Performance and safety is more important than price for me...would not like to replace real soon...I need them soon so any replys and recommendations are appreciated.
