The dodge 3500 srw diesel needs new tires.

I am looking for a mildly aggressive all terrain tire. I am sticking with the stock tire size (265/70/R17) and load range "E" (3195Lbs single tire) this unfortunatly limits my options on tires.

I have narrowed down my search to the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/AŽ KO tire. (opinions on this tire please)

What all are you running and what else would you recommend as a comparable tire to the BFG?

 

I run 315 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/AŽ KO's and I love them. They do very well in the mud and are very quiet on the highway. I have a hard time breaking the tires loose in any condition. I'll see how well they do in the snow shortly.

 

Toyo M-55 is far superrior to BFG on stock size. I'm upset that they don't make it in a 285 so I have to go with the Toyo AT's when mine gets in.

 

Another tire to consider would be the Bridgestone Dueler Revos. We have had great sucess with them.

 

The BFG's are good tires, I have owned several sets. The all terrains are the best tire I have ever driven in the snow, hands down. That said I have never driven a Toyo, maybe I'm missing the boat. Friend of mine has a set of Revo's and loves them. If you end up with A/T KO's, you won't be dissappointed.

 

I'm liking my Toyos, although they are quite a bit larger than the stock 265s.

I run BFG A/T's on my 02 4x4 (2nd set)
We drive up the Coke to Sun Peaks almost every weekend in the dead of winter and only use the 4x4 when it is really bad.
Handles well in the rain as well, also in the summer with a 9 1/2 ft camper towing a boat.
Best deal I could find was $1050 for four out the door

I love my BFG AT 285, I have 55 K on them and hope to get another 20K

 

Pirelli Scorpion ATR would be something to consider.

 

I have been very happy with my 285/70/17 BFG ATs. They are perform well in the rain, snow, and on the beach where I do all of my off-roading. They look considerbly bigger than the stockers without a big loss in mpg. The aired-down performance on the soft Delaware beach sand is night and day compared to the stock 265s. Although they are D-rated, they are still rated at 3195lbs at 65 psi. I keep mine at 65psi and rotate regularly. When these wear out I will moving up to the new 305/65/17E BFG AT. According to BFG's website, they are the same height as the 285s but over 12 inches wide for better flotation on the sand and E-rated.

 

I throw in a vote for Cooper Discoverer ATRs. Wet, dry, and fields, they handled well. I have ran them in any other road condition.

Toyo A/T's on my last dually, and loved them. Hankook Dynapro M/T now, great for summer, but suck bad in the winter!!

 

I've got 315 bfg a/t's on mine... Great on highway, good on dirt, terrible on snow and ice. Gotta go drop another G on winter tires. Mountain Cat's from Schwabby. Hopefully they tear up the ice like they are tearing up my rectal cavity!!

 

I know mine are bigger but I am @ 50k with my Toyo AT.
