Timbren Springs
I was wondering if anyone was using Timbrens? If so, can you tell a difference in the ride unloaded? Anyone using them with a 3500 2wd SRW?

I only notice a difference if I hit a big bump. That causes the Timbrens to make contact with the axle. I have an inch or so between them and the axle. Otherwise I don't notice a difference unloaded. 2WD might be different, but there is a spacer that can be removed to get more clearance. I like mine, others like airbags better. The Timbrens install in about 15 minutes, and there is no maintenance.

I got them and like them.....Once they're installed there's no maintenance. You don't have to worry about air leaks, there's really nothing that can go wrong with them.
I have them with a 5/8" space between the bottom of the Timbren and the plate that sits on the axle. The only time I notice them is on "speed bumps" in parking lots. If I slow right down I won't feel them at all. When I put the fifth wheel on the hitch the truck drops the 5/8" makes contact and maybe drops another 1/4" and stops. The pin weight on the the trailer is 1900 lbs.
They get my vote, I think they do a good job and are not expensive. If you haven't been there already there is a website for them.

worked great for me/us
We put them on when we started hauling loads up to 40k. With the flatbed on our trucks there wasn't much space when empty and it would thump you if you hit a big hole or hump in the road.
We did have one split on us and they sent a new one right out and replaced it.
A buddy of mine had the air ride and one bag blew up, and because he had 3 boat trailers on top of his truck it almost flipped him.
