Taller TIRES
HAS anyone found a tall skinny 17" E rated tire yet?? Such as a 255/80/17?? MY generals are almost halfway gone and i would like about a 33-34" tall 10.5" or less wide tire. I cant see spending all the money for 19.5's just to lower my ratio a bit

This sucks....i dont want a wider tire, dont want to change to 3.42(cost too much) dont want to put in the newer g56 with the taller OD ratio. COME ON tire companies offer us a tall skinny tire

im with you on that, i don't know why everyone wants taller and so much wider tires. i would love a 255/85/r17 that would be awesome. little more clearance, not as much affect to the MPG's
hell even if there were more options like 265/75 or 285/75 (toyo is the only one on that one.)

brakes wont fit with the 16's!
i like to keep my fuel economy as high as i can, so i dont have a use for a tire wider than say 10"
ive contacted every tire company, michelin, firestone/bridgestone, maxxis, goodyear, kelly, toyo, cooper, bf goodrich, general....all of them more than twice and half of them wont even give you the time of day!!
fords run 17's as well as dodge....have been for more than a few years....if one company would put one out there it WOULD sell ocne the word got out

To run that Toyo I bet you will have to run spacers to avoid rubbing. I am with you, I would love a taller tire to lower the rpm's a bit on the highway. I have looked everywhere too, and found nothing.
