OH, don't worry about that, DC has your back. What DC would do is have the horn honk and the lights flash any time the tailgate is down, or isn't fully latched. This way you'll know when the tailgate might fall and hit you.

rock crawler- much cheaper ordering it from the first link-autotrucktoys.com than from dodgeparts-when you factor in shipping! autotrucktoys only wants 15.00 bucks for shipping. dodgeparts wants 44.00 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey mitternocht - mouthfull there!!! No true'r a picture, of course then there is the false signal to the beep-beep system - that's where your gate is up and latched and the thing goes off 'cause your neighbor just opened his garage door and the radio freq interference from his opener sets it all off - you hurt yourself out of the pure shock when stuff starts happening and freakin' overloads your peaceful moment. Yep - DC covers us well!!!

with my 2007's "Silverado-like" tail lights, the last thing I want to add is the "Silverado-like" standard tailgate spoiler or the "Z71-like" fender flares...

Is anyone using the spoiler with a soft tonneau cover?

Does the spoiler cause the tonneau to sit high up off the tops of the bed rails in the back?

Anyone know if it works with a shell??? I was looking at some on a bunch of work trucks today and like them.
Just not sure my ARE window will shut w/o some trimming.

A DC report said the spoiler adds .7 mpg on the 1500s to meet milage requirements, as seen on window sticker. I believe the report is .5 mpgs for the 2500s, but posting MPG on 2500/3500 is not required. Notice that the MPG is not stated on the 2500/3500.

Cover

I believe DC makes a replacement cover if you want to take spoiler off.....I had asked about it because of my Tonneau cover.....then I found out they were not on 2500's. Tonneau fit as on my 2003.

Installed mine today. I also did not get the fastener kit. I painted some rivets since I could not find any black anodized. I wanted it to stay in place, so I put a rivet at each corner on the bed side. The tailgate liner holds the center down. Once I get a piece of diamond plate for the tailgate, it will not move at all.

Installed one on my 2500 last year. I did not drill any holes, I got some good quality 3M auto body tape they use for moldings and stuck it on. I have not had any issues with it at all so far.
