switch on clutch master rod

What is the switch that is on the rod of the clutch master rod under the dash that stops truck from starting when clutch is not pushed.

Neutral safety switch.......has to be depressed before starter will engage. I made a jumper and placed in mine so that I don't have to push the clutch pedal in to start the truck.
