SuperSwamper TSL SSR tires, 37" ???
Been seeing a lot of tire posts recently. Many are asking about A/T and M/T tires and D vs E ratings (8 vs 10 ply). I like the 10 ply E rated tires because they're obviously tougher and last longer. Also a state trooper told me that road spikes won't puncture 10 ply tires - not that that is a problem or concern
Anyone running the Super Swamper TSL SSR Radials? Speciffically with 6.5" of lift. I see that they make 10plys in this size (37x12.50R17LT) load rated to 3640lbs each @ 65psi.
http://www.intercotire.com/html/ssr_series.htm (2nd from the bottom on the chart)
My stock Michelin LTX/AS LT265/70R17/E are rated for 3195lbs each @ 80psi....

Looks like the 37's will actually carry more...
How do these tires sound, track, ware, etc.?
Thanks!!!

I ran a set of SSR's on my 99 with a 4.5" SJ lift. I ran the 35x12.5x16.5. They were great! I rotated religiously every 5k miles and got exceptional wear out of them. They were the 10 ply version as well. Mostly on-road highway type driving.
I was looking to get 50k miles out of them. Got the new truck listed below though. I would hands down run them again.
