stupid question- how do I get the headlight bulbs out?.

yeah i'm serious How hard is it to change the headlight bulbs in my 05. I took a quick look out in the cold today and everything is in the way behind them?? Whats the deal?? how many things have to come out? I’m old school- I’m used to removing 4 phillips headed screws from the front. LOL

Well now that I say this it will happen!!! This is the one thing I havent had to do yet. I looked in the service manual and here is what is says. For some reason I couldnt get the pics to come with it! Hope this helps!!

LAMP
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Disengage the three plastic retainers (3) that
secure the rubber welt (2) on the inboard side of
the front lamp unit (5) to the fender ledge.
3. Remove the three screws (4) that secure the front
lamp unit to the fender.
4. Pull the lamp away from the fender far enough to
access the wire harness connections (1) on the
back of the lamp housing.
5. Disconnect the headlamp wire harness connector
(4) from the headlamp bulb socket (5).
6. Disconnect the park and turn signal lamp wire harness
connector (3) from the park and turn signal
bulb socket (2).
7. Remove the front lamp unit from the fender.

Yep what runamuk said. Just pull the whole assembly out. It takes a pretty good pull go get it out but it will come. Also be careful of the paint on the bumber when you pull it, i scrached mine up a little when I pulled mine. Joel

there are 3 bolts,, 2 on the inside, and 1 between the bumper and the headlight on the outside of the light, the grommet is also back there. The hardest part is getting a torx long enough to take out the bottom 1, I went and bought a little ratched and extension and torx and leave it in my consel just in case
