stupid question about over head

stupid question about over head

ok looked through the manul and cant find if our 3rd gens have how many miles tell empty. on the over head. stupid i know.

I would assume yours has it. Press step until you see an estimate number for mileage with the initials DTE in the bottom left.

Use "step" and it is "DTE", Distance to Empty.

ok i did see the DTE but did not get that. that was what i was looking for.

When you get too low on fuel, the DTE will display automatically. I forget if it switches because of miles left or gallons left. I have only seen it once when I was pulling the boat. I get too nervous with the low fuel light light on let alone the overhead yelling at me.

It's gallons. Mine used to come on at 60 miles an now its 80-88 depending on where I have been driving. My MPG has gone up so the number went up as well.
