I noticed that a fair amount of people worry about the noise level on a straight pipe, but I have never had an issue, and I am far from careful 
, even under bridges and at take off from lights, they have never said anything, now it might just be around here, and between here and Nebraska, Colorado, Florida and Montana, so don't take my word for it, just my experience with mine staight piped for three years
