Good to hear you got the truck back. Sounds like it was left in SW or SE as where most of the vehicles end up. I lived in NE for a while in what they call a "transitional neighborhood" and it was all too common to see stolen vehicles racing down the roads. Even saw vehicles get side swiped. Anyhow - I would have it flat bedded or towed to your dealer (if you still use the dealer and yes I know it could be expensive - USAA may cover it) and have them go over it when they fix the steering column and the door.

anyhow - hope things work out.

Sounds like they stole it for a joyride.

If it was parts, they could have had the H2 wheels, among all of the cummins stuff.

Or they being the idiots they are, didn't realize it was a diesel, drove around thinking it was a Hemi with realllllllly bad detonation and rod knock, and got rid of it.

Being as how the tank is empty, it would be a good guess, they didn't fill it with fuel. If it was dead and full of fuel, then I would be worried.

Why exactly do you think LoJack blows?

Are you talking about the SENTRY KEY? This is from the 2004 owner's manual--sounds like you would have to bring your own PCM and plug it in in place of the other to drive this truck away. Of course, it can always be towed away.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SENTRY KEY -- IF EQUIPPED

With this system, an electronically coded ignition key sends a signal to the vehicle electronics. If the electronics recognizes the signal, the vehicle will start and continue to run. If the system does not recognize the signal, the vehicle will start and run for a maximum of 2 seconds after the initial key ON. After six unsuccessful attempts at starting, the system will shut down until the correct key is used. . . .
