For the sake of us that live in an area that RV and 5ver people frequent I hope for gawds sakes they never build it. So painful to watch these clueless idiots try to back up their dually Ferd's in the parking lots, taking 3 spots because the don't know how to drive it. They might be on holidays but I sure ain't. Either that or get these people to take a CDL course.

I keep reading all these threads on mega cab long beds. SERIOUSLY!!! How much longer is the ford or chevy crew cab?? 3 or 4 inches?? The Chevy's back seats aren't that big, and neither are the furds. Move the seats up a couple of inches, and I drive 3 tall coworkers around in my quad cab almost every day. So, yes, the seats aren't as plush. WOOOPPPPIIIIIEEEE!!. I sit in the drivers seat. Who's in the back on the long drives? You? Wife? Nope, the kids. Screw 'em, they can sit in the big seats when they can aford a $40K truck. I have 2 teen agers that are in my back seat all the time, and they verify that there isn't any less room than the Tahoe - which is the same cab layout at the Chevy truck. Furds are known for being smaller than the Chevy's, so ???????????????????????????????????

RVers use their trucks for shopping excursions, going out to eat, sightseeing, etc. once the 5th wheel is unhitched. Other adults (friends) often ride in the rear seat. Yes, I've ridden in the back seat of a Dodge Quad Cab, a Ford Crew Cab and a Chevy Crew Cab. There's a substantial difference in room and comfort.

I think if DC ever decided to do a lwb mega it would probably end up on the new 4500/5500 chassis but not anytime soon. It'd be awesome though.

If you really want one just order a Mega short and then stretch the frame for the long bed. It is only like $4k or so I think.

I is about $4k in central IL, $6k if you don't have a short bed to trade in for the long bed.
