Stereo Install Questions
I am having a brain fart.....I am installing my JVC MP3 palyer into my 03 with a Infinity system. I bought the intallation harness and antenna adapter. I spliced the harness into the wiring of the JVC deck.
I installed the stereo in the truck, plugged into the factory wiring harness, and hooked up the antenna. The stereo powered up and worked fine, but there was no sound output? I rechecked my wiring, everything was correct. I only tried playback of a cd, not the radio (it was late so I put my stock unit back in).
Anyone have any ideas? Any input would be great.
Bill

I did what you are trying a few years ago on my brother's Dakota. we had problems with the infiniti amp. had to bypass that. not sure if thats your prob or not.
does your new deck have low level output or "pre-amp" options? if so it may take advantage of the infiniti amp. if not, may have to bypass that amp.
just one idea. I would solicit from others. good luck!

That is crap. My deck own't work with the amp because it has high level inputs. Looks like I will keep the stock deck unitl I have time to rewire the amp.
Thanks for your input.

I have a JVC MP3 player in my truck with the infinity option, sounds awesome. I think that you missed the remote lead for the amp, it's probubly not turning on...
a thought, maybe there are 2 different part numbers for the wiring harnesses for the 2 systems, mine worked great, running the infinitys in the doors and 2 10" under the back seat off 1000watts.

I am pretty sure that I am missing the remote lead to the amp. What color was the wire that powered up the amp, Blue w/white stripe?
Because evertyhing else works fine, just no sound, and no power to the amp. I am going to see if I can find a different wiring harness!
Thanks,
Bill
