Squeek squeek
I have a 2004 club cab ctd with 113,000 miles and when I turn my wheels to the right and drive forward I here a squeek squeek, coming from my driver side front wheel. What do you think it could be? brakes are fine, maybe bearings? u joints. I am going to look at it this weekend, what should I look for when I am under there? Thanks.

I bought precision 330's (greaseable) for my driveshaft but if it's your axle shaft joints I'm not sure what number you need. And axle shaft u joints are a bear to change because you have to remove the hub unit bearing. Find out where the noise is coming from and we'll figure it out from there.

My bad u-joint was loose. I could reach in there and move it around by hand (needle bearings in one axis were toast). Also could jack up that wheel off the ground and rotate it back and forth with lots of slop coming from the u-joint (clunk, clunk).
Did mine all by myself. Not too bad a job. Probably need to do the passenger side soon.

Well, got ball joints, axle u joints and got axle nut off. I cant get the brake caliper bolts off. Spent over $400.00 today and that is just one side. I have everything soaking with pb and will try tomorrow.

The hard part will be getting the hub out...
If you search around the site there are a couple of threads that explain how to use the power steering to help remove hubs.
Good Luck..
I had a local diesel shop do mine after spending several hours trying to remove the hubs.
