Speedo/Computer Recalc for Tires Questions
Just got the widely acclaimed Nitto Terra Grappler 285/75/17s on my 2006.
The dealer said the only option in the diagnostic thing he plugged in was 285/70/17.
Is there a way to get the 285/75s input?
If I were to get a Smarty/Bullydog/Edge or similar could I input the 285/75s?
Is it possible to use someone else's Smarty or similar to change this, then unplug & give it back to them for their truck? I have no other use for the computer.
I have been getting conflicting info that those are VIN indentified and cant be used on another truck.
How necessary is it to have the EXACT tire size?
Thanks for any help,
fatpete

You should get a Smarty jr. It is by far the BEST thing you can put on your truck. Find someone that has one near you, have them put it on your truck then just go for a quick drive. You won't believe the difference in your truck. And your mileage will go up!
