Anybody running a "knockdown"(I think thats what its called) with the factory deck. If so, is it an easy installation?
www.subthump.com 185.00 plus freight

.63 air space per sub.....Enough for 10" JL Audio W3's

I am running the factory deck ONLY because I got a lifetime subscription to Sirius with it (Chrysler Proprietory). I am going to sell it and put in an Alpine Deck...

Only bad thing about that is you lose the fold flat storage.

I plan on doing one of these for my truck, so I can keep the FFS, and the storage under the FFS:

Custom Sub Enclosure

I can stand to lose the under seat storage, if the trade off is keeping the rear storage and fold flat.

My ONLY concern with this set up will be the sub vibrating my rear end off. Gonna have to keep it on low I guess to not have the mobile massage chair feeling hehehehe.

Does any one have any info on an enclosure for a single 10" that would fit under the rear seat in my 04.5?

JL Audio makes a Stealth box that goes under the passenger side seat of the quad cabs. Only problem is you lose your fold flat storage.

JL Audio Stealth Box

Those are pretty pricey though from what I have seen.....but supposed to sound REALLY good.

They do sound good, and are probably the best sounding "mass produced" boxes out there. I had the dual 10" box in my '99, but unfortuantely they only make a single 10" version for the 3G trucks, but it sounds like this may suit some people's needs. It will definitely be enough to fill out the lower end of your music and will be 1000% improvement over stock. Now if only I could figure out how to mount 2 15's, 2 12's, and 3 10's all under the seat without losing any storage space.

I saw a box for 2 10's and a box for 2 12's on Ebay. The one for the 10's used 3/4 mdf and the one for the 12's used 1/2 mdf. They both looked like real nice boxes. The 10" was $99 and I don't remember the price of the 12" one. Do a search for "04 Dodge Ram."

wow 1/2" for 2 12's??!?!?! I can't imagine that being a good thing!

I went looking at stereo stuff the other day, and have 100% decided to go with the center console rig. Since I want quality not quantity, it should work out perfectly. Now to just get my dang truck here!

Anybody have experience with the pro-box. Also JCL123, I have a pioneer deck on hand but was thinking of leaving the factory unit in the truck, is the factory one that bad?

I have a great sound and it is also powerful. The trouble comes in when you want GOOD bass seperation. Currently my 500.1 amp is tuned down somewhat.

Thanks man, I guess I'll put the Pioneer in. It is nice to be able to adjust the eq. where everything sounds good. Also, with this unit I can program 6 eq. settings, so instead of readjusting for different music types or news I just flip between them.

Anyone have any experience with these upward firing boxes? I've always use down firing subs, because I thought they hit harder. I'm going to run two 10's under the back seat, but not sure if I want to try the upward boxes. They are easier to find though.

I have a (2) 10" upward firing sub box from musicmooseaudio loaded with two Infinity 10's. Sounds great! I shimmed the seat up a little to give them a little more room.

They definately sound better when the seat is raised......

A local shop here is actually modifying the rear storage to allow for forward fire subs.... No going back when you do that
