Soot on my bumper

Does everyone else's bumpers soot up after 400 or so miles? My sport pkg in white sure makes it show on the rear bumper. I'm wondering if it will eventually stain it permanently

I put a turndown on mine, cleared it right up. Plus it's shiny.

Do the tip quick, it will dull the bumper. Chrome looks great with white.

Do the turndowns impede the exhaust flow at all? I wouldn't think so, but just curious....

turndowns shouldnt hurt exhaust flow at all. many people use them when pulling RV's

mine used to soot up after less than 100 miles but i pulled the tip out a little further and now only the tip gets black on the outside, nothing on the bumper

The stock exhaust used to put a lot of soot on my rear quarter, and my bumper. After running the MBRP system it eliminated it. They do put a lot of fuel into these new motors, as I noticed the inside of my pipe was coated after a 30 min drive, however my dad drove for like 5 days before his was coated black. All just in how much fuel your putting in. But the stock sytem did put a lot of soot on the bumper.

There is absolutely no way they could justify voiding your warranty by just adding a tip...

I will be purchasing a tip soon for mine, because it is starting to blue/soot up my chrome bumper.

Where is a good (cheap) place to get the tip? Does it have to be welded or will it just slip on with a set screw type deal?

I got my chrome turn down from a local muffler shop and they welded it on.
