I just bought an 08 and called the service dept about the "light load" button.....the service manager didn't even know the 08's had one let alone what it did. He had to look it up. WTH?? Shouldn't the service managers HAVE TO know more about the cars/trucks than the mechanics? Seems like a good way to "estimate" labor prices.

....of course maybe the poster drained the oil, filled with new, and THEN checked it BEFORE starting it up.

Everyone hates dealers here and you said it yourself.... Cummins "DEALER"....nothing different there. Maybe the cummins guys were laughing their hineys off when you left knowing you were going to go give some Dodge Garage grief over your oil that is supposed to be clean.
J-Bo , before I read up on the EGR crap on this truck , I did not know that it affected the oil. They may have done it, (free oil change) but I still don't trust them so I went to Cummins and purchased the right stuff for the truck. I don't regret buying the Valvaline Blue and fleetguard filter. I just use their oil change as an oil flush
