Try "Sno-Way" Lighter than a Fisher A 8' 29 series is 568 lbs! (poly) with steel it's 612 Lbs.

If you feel you NEED a trip edge they have a 29T series 8' is 670 in steel and 626 in poly.
My buddy had fisher's fro 15 years.. then got a sno-way on his duramax w/o the trip edge... once dialed in he loves it. he has 20-30 driveways to do on his route. His driveway is 800 feet of dirt.
You can have 300 lb down pressure hydraulicsc as an option and wireless remote to control the blade. Mil spec electric connections.

I would hope it doesn't bend the frame rails! I've yet to plow w/ a newer truck (newer than 1990), but have had plows on many older trucks. Snapped a front leaf spring on a 1980 Blazer that was packing a 8-1/2' Western plow, but never bent the truck frame.
Anything short of a severe impact w/ the plow shouldn't bend the frame, IMO.
Besides, they make plow prep packages for Dodges and the frame on a Mega is no different than theother trucks.

I have an 8' Boss straight blade on my 05 quadcab.Mine did have the snow plow prep package. Since the Cummins weights so much I also had them install a set of Timbrens. The dealer said my truck will take up to a 9' if I wanted.
Call your local fisher,Blizzard, or Boss dealers and see what their opinion is.

plow on Mega cab
I want a v-plow but I was told the front end was at it's limit. I have a 06' cummins mega cab. They said the axle was to light. Anyone have an issue? I cant find a lightweight v-plow.
