Small hose from fuel tank to nowhere
I recently sold my 03 and recently bought an 06 ram 2500 quad cab long bed 4x4 Cummings. When I was underneath the truck I found a small hose from the top of fuel tank near front of the tank. it is about 1/4" ID x 12" long. It is not hooked to anything. It does not suck or blow anything I can notice. Last night I looked under my buddies 06 and it has the same hose to nowhere.
What the heck is this hose for?

I know a lot of these trucks had the vents on top of the tank wide open. dirt and water could get in, so lots of people put in some hose and a tee fitting so that wouldn't happen. when I did mine, i clipped it up high, perhaps this one done on yours and fell down.

Heck, no man. That's not JB, that is 8808, a killer 2 part epoxy that we use on... well, never mind. It's very carcinogenic, let me tell you what!
Those are the two air dog draw straw mistakes I made... I riveted some aluminum plating and some solid rubber mat over and under the holes, then used that 8808 to seal over it.
