If I remember right, all you'll need is the bumper. You're foglights, mounts, bolts, and brackets from your bumper will all work on it

That's my understanding as well. I was looking at a Laramie bumper last weekend and it looked like it would swap right over. I'm starting to get pretty serious about finding a Laramie or Sport front bumper and a Sport rear bumper in Mineral Gray to swap over to my '08.

I'm looking for a front sport bumper to replace my chrome as well. Same bumper basically that you are asking about. Here's what I have found out. The sport or laramine style front is just a cover. Supposedly you will need the metal support for behind the cover. At least that is what two different dealers have told me. LMC Truck has really good diagrams to order from. From the diagrams on there it looks like you will need the support as well. I keep looking on ebay for a nice used one but no luck yet.

I got lucky and a lady pulled out in front of me. I am getting my sport bumper put on this week. And I went with the work truck grill. Trying to get rid of all the chrome on my black truck.

Ram4Tow, I will give you a word of caution. I see you live in Canada
so I assume it gets cold and snowy.

I have an '06 Sport and last winter in -10 I hit a snow drift
at about 10 mph. That plastic bumper cover shattered like glass.
It was not heavily packed snow, just a drift from a blizzard that was going on
(hence the 10 mph). I hit them all the time but never had a bumper crack.

I was pretty upset but the shop said they see it all the time.
The plastic is very brittle/fragile in the cold.

I've been looking for a steel bumper rather than replacing with OEM.

Good way to get a bumper replaced. I got unlucky with mine. Did a little fabrication on it with a guard rail. Hit a patch of black ice while accelerating on to the highway. I can say I was pretty impressed. I hit the guard rail hard. Thought for sure I banged it up pretty bad. In the end the only damage was to the chrome bottom piece. The truck is solid as a rock.
