Short bed to long bed conversion
The rear of my truck was hit and i've been calling around for a shortbed found them roughly 1700 w/ a tailgate plus shipping. I have a line on a longbed w/ tailgate for 400 am debating making it a long bed. Has anybody on here done it and have suggestions.

Might be difficult on a short bed frame.. Unless you have someone that knows how to extend a dodge frame and make it safe. It might be quicker and easier to buy the long bed, and cut the bed down to shortbed size, if you can match it line up correctly.

Just a plain ole guy
It;'s a big deal to do this. I've seen pics from a company doing this. If it aint done right, it will be a bad thing. Here's a link from a quick search for a company that's doing this. There more and more out there each time I look.

question that needs to be asked is the rear section of your frame damaged from the wreck? if so, you will be spinning your wheels doing a stretch. I had a mega and was going to long bed it (still have the long bed at my house) and Precision Bodyline out of Utah is where I was going to buy the kit and do it myself. It still uses the rear section of frame for rear spring hangers so if yours is damaged then don't do it.
