Shifter *****

Anyone know of a good place to buy a plain white shifter ball for the 6 spd? I recently bought one off of flameballs, but the only thing they had close to being white was the ivory. Got it in the mail today and it looks like a glow in the dark white if you know what i mean, doesn't match the white faced guages on the truck.

Thanks, Nick

I would like to know how to get the shifter **** off? I have tried twisting on it, and it doesn't seem to budge. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Take the center cap off, it's the cap with the numbers. Use a srewdriver to pry it off then it reveals the nut and bolt.

There was a member here that made custom ***** with a Cummins logo on the inside. I was going to order one but got deployed overseas, so I couldn't. I'd be interested in finding out if he still sells them.

I have a 2004 six speed, it looks like the **** is one piece, at least where the numbers are......I would love to be able to have my numbers look normal instead of upside down. Do you have to cut the cap in order to get it out? thanks in advance for replies.

Shifter ****

The center part with the shift pattern comes out. It sits in a grove and rotates upside down after use. Really annoying. I took mine out and straightened it and now it is upside down again.
With the tip of a blade or very small screwdriver work down in the seam on top of the shift **** and pry out the center shift pattern. There is a nut underneath to take off ****.

The fix to stop the shift pattern insert from turning is to pop it out and cut little teeth marks around the perimeter of the insert with a sharp blade of some type.
Shift ***** can be found on ebay. In fact, I would like to know how well the universal adapters work, there's some light gray leather shifts ***** on ebay that would go well with my taupe interior.
