She's sagging a little in the rear....Air bags
I have an 04.5 2500 4X4 quad cab that I use to tow my 8,000lb Travel trailer. I have a large fiberglass cap on the back of my 8 foot bed. When I tow the trailer, the back of my truck sags a little more then I like (Could be all the crap in the bed). I have a weight distrubution hitch and I have tried adjusting it to no avail. I was thinking of adding some adjustable air bags to raise the rear.
Any suggestions on a brand or setup? Pro's and con's? Things to look for, watch out for?
Thanks...

Firestones...get the compressor and whole setup. I didn't and I regret it and am going to have to add it. Install is simple and have had no issues in 20k working miles

A compressor isn't necessary unless you plan to adust the air pressure frequently, and because such a small volume of air is needed to pump up the bags, a cheap ($25) electric compressor that runs off it's own battery or your cigarette lighter can easily provide the 100psi for full capacity.

I have the ride rite bags on my 04.5 qc lb and they work very well with 2K hitch weight. I run about 30 lbs in them and have a Trailair air ride king pin box. I use a 12 volt compressor to inflate it and works well. You will probably need a 12 v extension cord for the comp. but it is cheap and effective.

My vote goes to Timbren!
No air compressor to worry about, and quiet to boot.
Like the Firestone airbags, they are also a no-drill installation - but at around half the price (with installed compressor). They will ship with a spacer that you can install if your truck is constantly under load. This spacer allows the Timbren to contact the axle as soon as you start lowering the truck while on the jack. Warning!-it WILL make your truck ride rough when unloaded. If you prefer a soft ride while unloaded, leave the spacer out. As the bed lowers (due to added load) the rubber spring will start to take load and the ride will firm up somewhat.

Ride-rite. I got the compressor with dual controls and mounted it under the drivers seat. I couldn't find a good spot on or under the dash. I'm very happy with the set up. I can stand beside the truck and watch it level out.
Sometimes we load hay after dark and I like the light in the gage. My dad laughs at me and says I wouldn't want to ride through town with you in a truck thats not level . LCH
