seat adjustment

My 05 has electric seats and a very annoying problem for me. When I lean back with just a little pressure the seat back slips out of adjustment. Does anyone know how to fix it where the thing won't go back so easily?
Thanks for any help on this.

I am wondering the same thing. My 06 has started to have a 'loose' seat back on the drivers side. Everytime I start and stop the seatback shifts back and forth becoming very annoying. Tried looking at it but cant see much without pulling the seat not knowing where to look. Any help would be much appriciated.

Smile seat adjustment

Hey Pikeman, I made a discovery tonite. If you push down on the adjusting lever it seems to make the seatback stronger. Try that on yours and see if it helps.

I tried that and it didnt help. I looked into it a little further last night and traced the wear to the assembly right behind the adjusting lever for the seat back. I always envisioned the mechanism being a gear operated one but it appears on these trucks to be a shaft which slides through a 'gripping' mechanism right behind the adjusting lever. Anybody know where I can get some help without ending up at the dealer.

I dont like these seats anyways. Wonder if a Chevy/Ford/Toyota seat would fit in our trucks? I do a lot of driving and my legs ache after a few hundred miles. Never happened in my Chevy but that was the only good thing on the truck (the seat).

My 06 seats are the worst seats I have ever owned. We hate to go anywhere in it over 30 min. away. I plan on putting some Grand Cherokee seats in it, or if can't find those just buy some custom seats if possible.

Mandatory seat modification...

FYI
I did not remove my seats...just lifted the cover and foam to access the springs.
