Saw something different this morning: DRW Ram 3500 V8!?!

It was a pre-2006 by its looks. A dually with the 3500 and the standard Ram "V8" badge on the side, just like you see on a 1500 or some 2500's. I didn't know they ever made a 3500 with a gasoline engine.

Yep, I have seen several. You can get a Ram Dually 3500 with a Hemi V-8. I don't know why you would want one.....but you can get one.

The Hemi replaced the V-10 as the gasser engine option in the 3500.

I agree. I don't know why anyone would want one with a Hemi. Can you say horrible fuel mileage. OUCH!!!!!

That is odd that it would have a V8 badge because all of the Hemi trucks have the "HEMI" Badge on them.

In the other forum there was a link to a black 2003 V10 3500. It was described as one of the rarest of the rare but sure was a good looking truck.

I see a 3500 Hemi down by my shore house all the time. I feel bad for that guy because his gas mileage must be terrible. There is a contractor on another site who has a 3500 dually with the Hemi and a 9' Fischer plow on it. Says he fills the truck up about twice a storm. Sucks to be them.

I've seen a few 3500's with the HEMI v-8. As far as i know, the 5.7L is the standard engine in 03+ 2500/3500's of course the CTD being the upgrade

Don't laugh, but over the Memorial weekend I saw a 3rd gen 3500 dually QC with the V10. The truck has Red Cross decals on the side and pulling a Red Cross cargo trailer.

That is not a red cross unit, it is a powerstroke/duramax trauma team.
