???'s about making purchase..soon!!!

Hey guys. Been lurking here for quite awhile. Have learned alot and look forward to learning more as I get my hands dirty. I'm about ready to make the purchase in the next day or so. What should I be on the lookout for at the dealership? What did you guys do, or not do that you wished you had while on the test ride? Guys, I'm stoked and as nervous as an expectant father-to-be. Any info would be welcomed.
BTW- Its gonna be a 3500 4x4 quad, swb, auto, somewhere in the range of 41-42g's
What should I be shooting for as far as final price is concerned.
Thanks again...Tony

Check this out before you buy. He's an advertiser here on DTR. He's been around for awhile and seems to be well trusted.

I would say that price is a little high. Look on the "example trucks" on the site crobtex mentioned for a comparison. Givin that your from chicago, your in driving distance of a lot better deals than that.

Sticker is between 41 and 42,700 depending on what options I decide on and out the door should be between 34-35g's. Sorry I didn't mention that before. Trying to contain myself from the excitement of my first diesel purchase.... and a Cummins makes it all the better.

I just got my new truck this past Friday for $35000, H pkg, Laramie pkg, quad cab, auto, 4x4 and lond bed. This price is after all rebates but with out taxes and dealer handing fees.

Hope this helps.

Well, I just got back from the ***********. Missed some good incentives by one day. Very disappointed with that and with what they offered for my trade so no deal just yet. Will have to wait and see what the future incentives bring.
Other than that, I test drove a 2500 4x4 Cummins Big Horn. Very nice. Felt good again being above the traffic. Hopefully someday...

runamuk, I guess you got one of the few Power Sunroofs to escape the factory before they were put on hold. I was waiting for incentives to get better when that happened. Now that they're available again, I'm read to order! I think sunroofs are really cool too, but I've never seen one in a Ram up close. Is it basically the same as what DC puts in Durangos and Magnums: motorized glass, manual shade, rear popup feature, built-in wind deflector? How loud and breezy does it make things when open at speed? Does noise from the CTD get to you after a while? Any significant buffeting? Thanks!

Yes the sunroof is probably the same as other models. Wind and noise are surprisingly not a factor. Windows open it does blow a bit, but not bad. Windows closed I have no noise problems.

It has already saved my butt a ticket ! The Helicopter flew directly above me for more than a mile, cruise set @70 after playing with a Z-4 BMW

BMW was pulled over shortly there after

Got my 04.5 from tomeygun too....I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Flew in to St. Louis, from the time tomeygun picked me up I was driving out of their parking lot in under 90 min. Beat my local prices by at LEAST 2 grand.....
