Road Trip
I just completed a bonsai run from Texas to Wyoming and back. Took the scenic route through the Rockies on the way up and the truck performed very well. Quite a departure from what I would have experienced with my 97 Ram 4x4 with a 318.
I have two questions (observations)
1. My mileage improved dramatically when I was up in altitude. Running in the mountains I got 18 - 19 consistently. I thought it might be the up and down giving the boost, but performance continued on the flat run at the end into Laramie. What gives?
2. The Cummins was noticeably louder in the higher altitudes especially on acceleration. Does anyone know why?
Had a blast!!! In a large part because of the Ram. Wife and kids stayed home which added alot to the peace.
