Question Retrofit power adj pedals on a 2BH?

Found my dream truck yesterday. It's a 3500 DRW 4x4 LB in silver with the 2BH package (the NV5600/DEE tranny?). The only thing that bummed me out about it is that the power adjustable pedals were deleted as DC's supplier had run out when mine was made.

Not a big deal as the Missus (5'1" on a good day) can reach the pedals OK with the adjustable seats but she rides a bit closer to the steering wheel than I like (for a pregnant woman). Admittedly, it's a temporary situation, but I think she'd be more comfortable physically (and me mentally), if we could install the power pedals.

The dealership said it would be cost prohibitive to retrofit the part, but I think they just didn't want to hassle with it (already ordering the Line-X and Jake Brake and they had to call NorCal to find/ship my truck to Los Angeles County).

Has anyone here had the power adj pedals installed at a dealership (with warranty coverage) and how much did it cost?

Any recommendations in SoCal for a dealer that would be willing to do it for me?

Thanks in advance!

My wife is barely 5-2 and never uses the adjustable pedals. I thought I was doing her a favor by getting them but she says she's OK with the way they are. You may want to have her try out a truck with them before you spend the $.

I checked on this after I bought my truck. It came close to $750 for everything. plastic cover, motor, bracket, wiring, switch, ect... Needless to say I passed. Although that is one option I wish I would of got. When I test drove a new ram in late 02 it had everything, and I really liked the power pedals. Wife liked em too.

I think I will buy the parts and either install them myself or try to find a dealer to install them. Not too worried about the warranty on something the truck didn't come with originally.

I suppose I will have to get a Service Manual. Cripes! The thing costs $375 at the techauthority.com! I guess I will have to settle for a CD instead.

Thanks and any other ideas appreciated.

PS. Pop-pop: would you be interested in selling your power pedals?

Might check Geno's Garage for the service manual
