Replacing brake light

Stupid question I know, sorry- but what size star tool do I need to get the blasted housing off so I can replace the bulb? If Dodge would just put a locking tailgait on they could use regular screws and we wouldn't have to have a special tool just to replace a bulb. (I tried the only two sizes the local parts store had and neither worked! There's nothing in the owners manual either) I'm thinking the Hwy Patrol won't be very sympathetic just cuz I have the bulb in the glove box....
