Should be about $60-65 to replace the glass at the dealer.

May be able to find it cheaper, my truck was already there and it was just easier to have them do it.

FWIW, later that year, I demolished the entire housing and it was $425 for a whole assembly installed at the dealer. Couldn't seem to find one at a junkyard or aftermarket.

Maybe next time I will remember to fold it in when I back into the garage.

I took my 01 to a glass and mirror man I know and he cut one to fit mine out of regular mirror. The only difference is that the mirror that comes in your cars is that if you hold the glass uo to the light you can actually see through it , house mirror you cant.

If you have a local Binswanger Glass shop, they can replace OEM mirror glass.

How hard is it to take the mirror/glass out? I haven't looked yet, but I'm planning on painting mine as my contact wound only left a scar and spared the mirror

Real easy when you whack it against a tree branch at 45 MPH.

I paid 30 bucks at a SafeLite dealer for the new glass. Was going to do it myself but for 30 it is just not worth the effort.

No heater

Having it cut is great, but you don't get the heater. My fiance was swinging her $400 purse at my head one time and I ducked, bam the glass blew up. I made her pay for it. It is easy to fix. Later
