removing load-flat floors?

Anyone taken out their load-flat floor? I'm getting ready to get my Rhino Liner put in and I want to get a thin layer done on the floor panels - mostly so things stay put better - but the dealer wants me to take them out to save on the cost (read: price!).

Just how hard is it to do and what needs to come out? Do I need to unbold the entire bracket or is there a way to just remove the panels? And is it easy to put back in, too?

I figure just a thin layer of about 1/8" should be OK and still let them fold up under the seats. Thoughts on that?

Thanks!

When I had my LIne-X job done, I talked to the dealer about doing my panels. He said it would be a LOT of work on his part and expensive. I ended up just buying a small piece of cheap runner carpeting at Home Depot and cutting it to fit. Does the job and was only $10 and much less work.

When I had mine line-x'ed I pulled the load flat floor and had them sprayed too. Just remove the 18mm bolts and 13mm nuts holding the brackets to the floor. It takes about 10 minutes and the hardest part is getting the bolts out, there really tight. Everything worked out great, only negative was I coundnt get the little rubber grommets back into the holes that keep the storage floor from rattling when folded, but with the line-x material on there it doesnt viberate anyways. I think the guy charged me 25 to spray them but I removed the and re installed them. I would definately recommend it.

Very easy to take 'em out. I've done it a couple times, and now it's just about 5 minutes. There are only a couple small bolts. Getting them sprayed is a great idea. I got cheap and tried a rattle can rubber spray product. Not bad, but now it's flaking all over the place and leaving a mess. I also lost the little rubber feet on the trays, so now it rattles. I'm about due to get them done by a pro, so let me know how yours turn out.
