There is a product that claims it works up to 2000* but I am worried that holding all the heat in might do damage to the turbo or something. They claim more hp but I think all that is for gassers. I just want to stop the rusting.

Actually, you want the heat to be transferred to the turbo. That heat energy will spin the turbo faster/quicker.

However, comma, pause for effect... I am referring to ceramic coatings and SS manifolds that transfer the heat energy instead of absorbing it. I do not know if that paint will have the same effect.

The ceramic coating or Thermal coating is supposed to do that. I had a buddy that had his 2 stroke pipes done and it diffenietly made the outside of the pipes nowhere near as hot as before. So it must have worked. Within about 30 secs of him killing the motor you could touch the pipes and not get burned.

It will spin the turbo faster, but can the bearing handle all the heat? I mean I am not really worried about the power it may make. I don't need anything more then the truck already has, I just want to stop the rust, and if at all possible make the temps under the hood cooler.

It'll be fine, man.

If you want to send me the money to do it, I'll do mine first, and we'll see how it works
