My '07 Ram came with a remote start system which I never use. Since I have only one ignition key I would like to get the other key out from under the driver side dash, where I am told that it is stored to allow the remote to activate. Anyone know where and how to get at that key so I can have a backup key without paying the big bucks for another programmed sentry key?

It All Depends On The System. The System In My Truck Has A Program Box Instead Of The 2nd Key. But If The Key Is In There It Will Be Located In The 2nd Box For The Remote Start. Just Pull The Kick Panel And It Will Be Easy To Find.

IF they used a security module that takes one of the keys... it is MOST LIKELY a 556u directed piece look for the black "box" take the screws out of the box and the key will be inside ...

could I ask ya why you never use the remote start???

Thats the system i have. You program the box with your current key/s.
