Remington Limited Edition Ram

Remington Limited Edition Ram
Does anyone have one of these? Their website looks pretty cool -- would not mind having those leather seats. Tell me if I am crazy -- but do those look like the bucket seat option in the '06's? They still have the center fold down seat and not the console. That is the option that I would want from factory, if it were available. The first link is to the Remington Ram, the second is to the Remington Chevy (I like the way that they did the Chevy even more).

Alright, here is my take on those type of trucks......
1) Why would you want some company's name emblazoned all over YOUR vehicle? Unless of course it were your company.
2) If you do have their name all over YOUR vehicle how much are they paying you to advertise for them?
3) These are not like the old Eddie Bauer edition Ford Vehicles. Besides who wants someone elses name on their seats. I mean c'mon, if they embroidered your name in the headrest or seatback wouldn't that make more sense?
Now remember, this is just how I feel about these trucks. I think it is silly to spend more money on a vehicle so that the likes of an organization can get free advertising.
Others will disagree and that is fine with me.
By the way, Remington makes some very fine firearms, but even a few promotional freebies wouldn't get me to cruise around in a truck that had their name through and through.

I don't care if they say Remington on them or not, really. I guess that I should have posted the link to the press release as well -- they are full, top saddle grade leather, front, back, and sides, akin to the King Ranch Fords. Our seats, and even the aftermarket Katzkins, only have leather on the seating surfaces, with the remainder of the seats being vinyl. Also, the "grade" of the leather is different as well.

I guess it looks OK, not really crazy about the looks of the truck, inside or out.
The worst thing I see is all that woodgrain on the dash, I would have looked much better if it were brushed aluminium. The leather does look a bit better than the stuff they pass off as leather in the stock trucks tho. Just my .02, speaking of money wonder what the price tag on these is? It might say in the text somewhere, lol I just looked at the pictures..sorry I am bad for that.

I'm not denying that they are nice trucks, I just think they would be nicer without someone elses name all over them.

I like the leather seats (although without the embroidary) and the extra wood treatment and could go either way with the little bit of exterior treatment. But I don't see how this ties into their company at all. Why not do things in gun metal grey or something else that makes you think of Remington? Other than the embroidary there is nothing that shouts "Remington".

Kinda reminds me of the "OCC" version some dealers had. Nothing worth while under the hood. Just a poser. The woodgrain inside looks like brown plastic (to me). The put about $2k worth of stuff and add $10k to the price. The OCC version did have a Volant air box. The seats look nice though, but you can recover your seats for about $1200 at the dealer. My Friday morning subjective opinion . Have a great weekend all.
