Rear Sway Bar
Has anyone tried a rear sway bar on their Gen 3 3500 4WD? I would like to know a) if it was beneficial and b) did it make the ride better or worse / empty and fully loaded
Sometimes we get caught up in sales hype and add things to our trucks that are of no benefit. I tow a heavy 5er and am just looking for better control even though the trucks handles ok now - I do slow for corners and heavy traffic volumes. Always room for improvement though. Want to try and get rid of the rock and roll when empty and entering a mall eg at an angle where the left and right front wheels hit the kerb at different tiimes. It rocks sideways so bad I think we must look like the muppets when they used to swing from side to side rapidly. The rocking is so bad I have thought of disconnecting my sway bar and tying it up and trying that across these kerbs. Also heard the Carli bar works good for that - anyone know anything about that or had experiences?
Your responses, as usual, will be appreciated

I've got the Hellwig 1 1/8" standard one and my friend who carries a slide in hardsided camper has their Big Wig 1 5/8" model. Both work well controlling sway. Easy 45 minute bolt on.
It does control sway on the road but may make it worse in your stated situation as it maintains a parallel plane between axle and body=less articulation
.Amazon.com had some deals when I got mine. Summit or Auto Parts Warehouse are other sources.
