Rear slider
I was clenaing my windows tonight. When I got to the rear window with the slider the locking part fell off in my hand. It looks like a pin fell out or something? Oh well I won't have a chance to take it in till late in the week. Hopefully no big deal.

Mine did the same thing! Actually mine halfway broke, one of the pin retaining loops. Was going to have it fixed under warranty, but the dealer had to call a glass company and order the parts. Probably wouldn't have fixed it anyway. I have my CB antenna wire going through there but I don't think that contributed to it breaking. But who knows. There were three people looking at it scratching their heads, thats when I knew I was in trouble Fixed it with a nail!
Yes, there is a pin and a metal "sping" that looks like a triangle. Couldn't find my pin, hence the nail. After you look at all the pieces you can figure out how it goes together.

MINE BROKE AS WELL when i gently went to open it, the hasp ended up in my hand . my problem is, the loops where the pin goes broke off I didn`t bring it in, i KNOW they wont have the part, and i cant take off of work for them to fix it. I will try to free up some time over the summer, and get them to fix it.

With mine, the dealer said the glass company had to come and and remove the part stuck to the window and then replace it. Probably just epoxied on. I bet we could do it ourselves if we got the parts. I also hate leaving my truck with them jackels

I have owned many pick-ups in my life and every one has had a rear slider. How many times have I used/opened the rear slider?.............NONE, not once that I can remember. So, I delilberately bought my new rig w/o a slider and I love it. I think it is a much nicer looking (less cluttered) rig w/o it. The only down side is that the re-sale value is better with one.

Took a closer look at mine and it looks like the bottom pin holder broke. The top one is still there but the bottom one is missing. Gonna try and get it to the dealer next week and see what they say.
P.S. I use my slider quite a bit.

Ah ha, that must be the reason they were balking. With mine it seemed like it was the first time the issue came up. My nail trick seems to be working. The flat head keeps it from falling through the loops (loop). Plus the tonneau cover keeps people from crawling around back there anyway. But if they want in they're gonna get in anywayNow if I could just chrome the nail I could have a mod
