can someone tell me what size the stock radio is in a 2003 quad cab. is it a din, or din and a half. oe somewhere was doin sizes by letters or something. im looking for a new radio, and im not exactly sure what will fit. it looks a little bigger than an average deck. thanks.

I just replaced mine with a Pioneer. I don't know about the din size, but the stock radio was much higher (thicker) than the replacement radio. You need to purchase the adapter kit for mounting, a adapter for the wiring and an adapter for the antenna fitting. I had the incorrect adapter and cut off the factory wiring connector in my haste to install the radio. Big mistake!! The factory wiring is on the short side and the wire colors did not match to the radio. If you need the a schematic on the factory wiring, let me know as I drew one up. By the way, my speakers sound better with the replacement radio and now I have a functioning disk player. Yeah!! Remove the screw above the garage sack hanger and the section of the dash pulls off to expose the radio which is held in by 4 screws.
