Questions about replacing my stock Infinity head unit

I have the single play disc player w/cassette and the Infinity sound in my 04.5. I am planning to purchase a Kenwood single Din player with integrated bluetooth (hands free phone and streaming audio A2DP).

Is the Infinity amp used or bypassed in the new configuration?

Do I have to (or should I) replace my speakers?

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

The new radio should have a power antenna wire ( which is not used ) and an 'auxiliary power' wire. You will need to make sure the aux power wire is connected. That wire, is what supplies power to the amps.

Thanks. So, can I continue using the stock speakers? I thought I read somewhere that the rears are woofers only (something like that)...

I replaced my stock unit with a Kenwood signature series from Crutchfield.......have to buy an adapter, and it was a tight fit..........it was straight forward and easy to install. Speakers and amp were reusable.

No problem......Crutchfield has been very helpful when I've had a question or problem........My first bluetooth mic was hard for the other person to understand......they sent me a new one....no questions asked.
