I'm not sure how it is where you are, but here in denver the "official" weather is reported from the airport, DIA, and if anybody knows abouth DIA its that it is basicly located in Kansas. It is not uncomon for the real temp to be up to 5 degees off of what the news says, I don't know about yours with 9 degrees though. ???

The official temp for me is from DFW Airport. If I didn't WORK at DFW Airport I could buy into what you're saying, but since I do then I think my overhead puter just likes to mess with my head. :
