QC rear dome light
Can someone tell me how the rear dome light works with the doors??
sometimes it comes on when I open the doors and most of the time it won't. It always works when I push on it. Also it works sometimes when I use the dash switch and some times not. What activates it when you open the doors ?? I'm thinking theres a loose connection somewhere, I'm just not sure where to look.

On my '02 QC the wires are broken where the harness goes thru the door frame. Pretty common from what I've heard. My power windows still work but not the door locks or interior light.

what year is your truck?
they all operate different from year to year.
some of the interior lights have "opera dimming" where they dim down real slow. but the Bed light doesn't do that, so that means one is micro processor controlled, and other is on a relay
i would GOOGLE dodge body builder, and find the PDF's for your year & look it over.

sorry, have the "show sigs" turned off.
it's page 8w40 and 8w51 in the PDF;'s (I don't have Adobe Pro loaded, so i can't extract those pages)
basically, it's controlled by the Instrument cluster.
Page 8w40 has the connector numbers & pin numbers
and the Body Builder also has all the connector locations,
shoot me your email in a PM if you can't GOOGLE it, and I will email you the PDFs
then you should be able to trace the voltage thru the wiring harness.
hth.
