Wow, that seems pretty uncalled for. I'm sure you faired much better on the trade from an '06 to an '07.

Yeah, well thats what I paid. My dealer must not be a generous as others. Anyways, I will let you guys know what they say. Hopefully mine will be the only one on this forum that it happens to. Just be careful.

Not always... I know when I got my Ram, I was given a lower price on a F250, and if I would have gone X Plan, I would have gotten even a lower price. I still went Dodge because I didn't trust the 6L PSD.

I don't get it. I only get 15-16mpg in my 07???

I apologize for my comment. There are many people on this forum that will quote sticker price as opposed to purchase price when fuming over problems. I thought that's what was being done here, hence my comment.

The reality is that things go wrong on all vehicles at all prices. Had my truck died in traffic and created a dangerous situation for myself or my family, I would have been just as upset.

I do hope your problem is fixed quickly and without issue.

That was my first thought too! Only my Dad can spend that much on a truck.... He once bought a 1997 Ram CTD dually that listed for $45,000 and he walked out the door paying $53,000.

Seems prices vary quite a bit on these, and of course there are apple Rams and orange Rams, but if you didn't get $10,000 of MSRP you paid too much, and I never saw a 2500 with a $52,000 MSRP.

Anyway, could it be the lift pump or the fuel filter? A hiccup in power to the lift pump would kill the truck quick. Get gauges and watch what your engine does and maybe you'll catch it.

Maybe he took advantage of the 0% financing instead of getting 10k off. What's your interest rate?

thats what I did.
I have 2.9% for 72 months. But I really did pay 42k for the truck.

I now have the truck in the shop as of this morning. I went straight to the service manager and retold him what happened. He acted like he has never heard of any truck doing that by his face expressions, but he put me in a rental (stratus... ) and told me he would call me when they find something.

lift pump or clogged filter will allow the truck to run, lower on power but still running. the filter will also be progressive worse, just not bang its dead.

If the truck dies doesn't a code always set and check engine light comes on?
