Power Window Failure

I can roll the passenger rear window up from the main control on the drivers door, but not down... The switch on the Passenger rear door works both ways...

Sounds like a bad Switch on the Drivers door to me... any input?

Anyone know which pins to jump off on the plug to see if it will lower the passenger rear window, thus Isolating it to the switch alone?

Try cleaning the switch, and the connection's. Maybe you'll get lucky.

I tried to get to it, but I didn't want to break it any further....

It looks like the switch is Soldered to a circuit board...

BTW, I forgot to mention I had my driver door window cracked and it started raining... inside door panel was wet... I dried it off, I was thinking condensation on the contacts at the time... but it's been 4 days... And the little bit that I was able to tear down the panel All of the other contacts (rear view mirror, locks) had grease on them to prevent moisture contamination...

I would use a test light, and see if i had power while holding the switch in the down position. If you have power look further. If no power it is the switch.

I had a similar problem with my truck. Was rear drivers side door. The drivers control panel is replaced as a unit, the individual switches are not serviceable.

I found broken wires in my truck inside the flexible tube that connects the truck body to the door. I splice the broken cble and all has worked fine since then. The door module is around $65-$80 depending on where you can find it.

You may need to check the cables going between the Drivers module and the rear switch.

Good Luck, Jeff
Just thought that some of this info may help you find the

I have a 2004 manual and can get the colors from their but I have no way to know if they are correct for 2005? Maybe someone with a 2005 manual could chime in? The drawings in the manual were very clear and easy to understand.

Finding the broken wires I did not even need the color code as there was 2 wires broken wide open with small pieces of the jacket barel holding the 2 sides together. I just spliced the 2 wires back together and windows again worked without any problem.

Let me know if you want the colors from the 2004 manual.
