315 is the with of the tire in millimeters, which is almost equal to 12.5 inches. 70 is the precent of the width of the tire and thats the height of the side walls. EX 315/70/17 is about a 35/12.5/17 while on a 16 inch rim its 315/75/16. Hope this helps some. Oh and the stock wheels are 7.5 inches wide.

OldSmokey, are you sure about the 7.5? I thought they were 8''.

There are several members here running the 315 on stock wheels with no problems, but many have also gone down to 285's for various reasons.

1 No leveling Kit in that picture. I did have some control arm rub though.
2 Stock Larime grill. They replace the honeycome. I have since replaced with a all black grill.

Stock wheels are 8". Aluminum or steel, as I understand it. Aluminum for sure.

Yes, BFG 35/12.5x17. Close to the 315/70/17.

If you go on the BFG website they will give actual tire height on a given wheel. Height can change with width.

The MTR has been one of the best tires for me......
They Rock in the snow and slush, and chow muddy hunting trails....
No more noise than the BFG MT.......
I would buy them again....
