"This is Rick from Empire Glass." Poor guy. Just like fatal attraction, that will teach men to keep it at home, if you know what I mean!
To anyone outside Arizona, it's kind of a local joke.
Vittorio, where in the AZ outback are you? I get out to the pretty country a couple times a month.

The heat builds up in mine just sitting there parked pretty fast. I finally made an appointment with a window tinter for next tuesday. He uses Solargard (sp?)brand tint. I am only going to have him tint the front 2 windows and a strip across the windscreen. The rest is already factory tint.

Ram04,
I understand the factory tint on the side windows does not reduce heat nearly as well as does the metal tint. I am going to have a tint applied to the rear and back windows to reduce heat as well as UV.

Thanks 300sdl,
I think I may just have him tint the rest. I was afraid of it getting too dark and not being able to see backing up at night, but I think if he puts just 50% on the back it shouldn't be too bad.
Are the metal tints best for heat rejection?

Ram04,
To the best of my knowledge, they are. Do not, however, take my word for that. Your tint shop should have a list of the various tint types and shades with the UV and heat reduction numbers.
I do know the metal types should not fade as the non-metal will.

(Back to thread) My 95 still hasn't been recharged. It doesn't blow as cold as it used to, but with a regular cab, it works well enough that I haven't bothered having it done. I heard that you don't need a recharge unless your system is leaking. Maybe mine's only leaking a little?

I tried to get the foglights at NC but they would not go for that. They wanted $245 to install them but I got them to do it for the $123 option price. I was happy with that.
